Kosovo will invest 410 million euros in the construction of the ski resort in Brezovica at Shar Mountain, and, according to the plan, this should become the most modern ski center on the Balkans. It is located on the northwest side of Shar Mountain, about 60 kilometers from Pristina, at an altitude from 900 to 2,500 meters.
Construction of more than 100 kilometers of ski tracks, 35 tracks in the first and 25 in the second stage, around 20 ski lifts and other infrastructure, which is necessary for modern tourism, is planned. The construction will begin next summer and will last for 18 years and it will be divided into three stages.
Brezovica is under the concession for 99 years.
