“Koha Ditore”: At least seven ISIS fighters are hiding around Skopje

At least seven Kosovo citizens who fought for the of the Islamic State of Syria and Iraq (ISIS) in Syria, three weeks ago returned to the Balkans and took refuge in the region of Skopje, reports the Kosovo daily “Koha Ditore“.

Relying on information from intelligence agencies, including the Kosovo intelligence services, the newspaper writes that the jihadists who had returned were Lavridim Muhajer and Ridvan Hakifi and five other Albanians.

According to the newspaper, they were hiding in several villages in the region surrounding Skopje, the capital of Macedonia.

“Koha Ditore” got their information from the Intelligence services, and they also reported that a large number of foreign jihadi fighters began to leave for Syria after Russia began a military campaign in the country.
