Europe supports the Przhino Agreement and it must be fully implemented, said Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders in Skopje after meeting with Foreign Minister Nikola Poposki.
“You know better than I do how important it is to have fair and credible elections, a cleansed electoral list and equal access to the media. Macedonia has a long tradition and history, and you have had previous fair and democratic elections, and it is important to implement the Przhino Agreement to enable further work on the European perspective”, said Koenders. He also asked everyone to support the work of the Special Public Prosecutor.
When asked by journalists how the internal political situation is connected with the migrant crisis Koenders stressed that the political crisis in Macedonia is not directly related to the refugee crisis, but stressed that the problem of refugees creates tension in all countries.
