The European Commission gave great importance to the freedom of expression and freedom of the media, said Maja Kocijancic, when asked by journalists yesterday about alleged threats from the opposition to journalists who are close to the Government.
Ms Kocijancic reminded that the progress report on Macedonia, condemns threats and intimidation of journalists by anyone.
“It clearly states in the recommendation for Macedonia, where the Commission encourages everyone, especially the Government and the media to work harder to improve the media culture in the country”, said Ms Kocijancic.
