Kocijancic: Retrograde steps have destroyed Przhino and Vienna

-

The European Commission today expressed their regret that tomorrow’s leaders meeting in Vienna will not take place, stated today the spokesperson for the European Commission, Maja Kocijancic for “Meta”.

“We have consistently said that the breakdown of the Pržino Agreement would have serious consequences for the country. We would deeply regret any retrograde steps in Skopje that would move the country further away from its aspirations towards European Union accession.” Said Kocijancic.

The spokeswoman stated that Brussels will continue to assist political parties in Macedonia in dealing with the crisis.

“We remain available to assist the parties now and in the future. But the responsibility to ensure democratic progress and to make headway on the Euro-Atlantic path rests with the parties themselves, on behalf of the citizens of their own country. They must now deliver.” Kocijacic said, adding there will be a statement coming shortly with more details.
