The Council of Public Prosecutors unanimously voted in Katica Janeva as the new Special Prosecutor. Three prosecutors praised the proposal and said that Ms Janeva deserved the position.
Earlier today, the MP’s at the plenary session confirmed the Commission’s proposal for elections and appointments, Katica Janeva was chosen as Special Public Prosecutor to prosecute crimes related to the contents from the illegal intercepted communications known in Macedonia as ‘Bombshells’.
Tonight, with 111 votes “for” from 114 MP’s who attended, passed the bill on the new law.
Ms Janeva will undertake her responsibilities as Prosecutor by taking the Oath tomorrow.
