Karadzovski: The Excessive Transparency About the Conditions Are Ruining the Court’s Reputation

-

The excessive transparency and leaking information to the media about the conditions in the judiciary are ruining the court’s reputation, announced today the president of the Panel of Judges, Zoran   Karadzovski, after today’s session where, among other subjects, the members of the Panel discussed the occurrences and the scandals at the Basic Court Skopje I.

Karazovski did not announce the conclusions that the Panel of Judges brought about the conditions at the Criminal court and the recommendations for calming the tensions between certain judges but stressed out that these disputes must be solved reasonably and within the institutions.

-I don’t think that the conditions such as these, especially the transparency of matters that should not be transparent in public i.e. the initial phases of submission of applications or announcing certain issues to the media that are not part of an announcement issued by the Panel and they contribute to the derailment of the court’s reputation – said Karadzovski.

He added that if certain judges are suspicious of criminal activities by their colleagues and are bringing criminal charges against them, they should notify the Panel and the authorized institutions without providing information to the public first.

Karadzovski stressed that at today’s session they did not discuss the charges that 13 judges have brought about against the president of the Criminal court Vladimir Panchevski because it wasn’t of their interest.
