Journalists to get information from Central Registry and Cadastre for free

At today’s session, the Government gave a statement expressing strong political will and support for its institutions for the continued application of the code of ethics for media reporting, as well as strong encouragement of the application and respect of the system for media self-regulation, the government’s press service announced.

“The government today supported the rights of the media and journalists to report and to freely research and without delay, with another measure that allows media workers the right to use the services of the Central Registry and the Agency for Real Estate Cadastre. With its own measure, the Government of the Republic of Macedonia compiled the demands of journalists and journalist’s associations and provided free access to sources of information of special importance for investigative journalism”, reads the press statement.
