The former Interior Minister Gordana Jankuloska, made her first public appearance in an interview after her resignation after almost a year ago. She was interviewed by “Press24” which is run by journalists from “Sitel”, Aleksander Spasovski-Sarma and Slavica Arsova.
In the interview, Jankuloska claims that she has not committed any crimes and that the investigation against her lead by the Special Public Prosecutor is part of a political calculation, and as for the requests for pre-trial detention – absurd.
“My perception and I believe the perception of the public is by all costs to go ahead with proceedings against targeted individuals, which increasingly resembles a brutal political calculation, rather than a legal procedure. It a brutal political calculation that aims to discredit on a personal and professional level certain persons the opposition perceives as political opponents”, Jankuloska said in the interview.
Jankuloska in some of the wire tapped materials released by the opposition last year, among others, could be heard saying the upper floors of the Interior Ministry building had been converted into VMRO-DPMNE headquarters, or as they say here “VMRO-MVRO”, and there was a room where observers and delegations from embassies were located, where she would occasionally walk around as if nothing was going on.
