Janjić: The Russian military intelligence service GRU is behind the litany against the EuroPride in Belgrade

-

Serbian political analyst Dušan Janjić said that since the members of the Night Wolves Motorcycle club have led the litany and protest in Belgrade against the EuroPride, it is evident to him that the Russian military intelligence service was its background organizer, informs the Danas daily newspaper.

Janjić commented on the Serbian Prva TV the gathering named “A Litany for the salvation of Serbia,” and he said that judging from the presence of the bishops that attended the litany and the “Night Wolves” it is clear that its organizer is the Russian service GRU.

He also said that the war in Ukraine and its consequences are an opportunity for Serbia to change its foreign policy and its dependence on Russia’s energy exports.

Otherwise, at the second gathering during August that took place in Belgrade , named as “Litany for the salvation of Serbia” the people were carrying church icons, photographs of Vladimir Putin, and the bishop of Banat, Nikanor addressed the attendees, saying the Vladimir Putin is “today’s Tsar of Planet Earth” who has made a firm stance against the “anomalies” which have arisen in Serbia. .

In the meantime, the Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said that the decision for canceling the EuroPride in Belgrade has already been passed. There will not be changes about this decision to cancel the event, stressing that there aren’t favorable security conditions to organize it.

“There won’t be any fights nor clashes,” said President Vučić, who also said that anyone who will act violently will be arrested, informed N1 TV.

In Serbia, the tense replies by members of the Serbian government with official Moscow continue. When last week the Vice President of the Serbian Government, Zorana Mihajlović reacted that official Moscow has misused the fact that Serbia didn’t impose any sanctions on Russia, Kremlin also reacted to Mihajlović’s statements.

“Even though he talks about the friendship between two countries, with this behavior he is showing the opposite,” said Deputy Vice President Zorana Mihajlović regarding the behavior of Russia and its Foreign Affairs Minister Sergei Lavrov, informs N1.

The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told Mihajlovic she wasn’t well acquainted with the reality of the relations between both countries.

“We have a complete mutual understanding with Serbia about current issues in the international agenda” said the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, informs N1.
