The Special Prosecutor’s Office withdrew their request to freeze VMRO-DPMNE’s assets and property in the “Thaler” case because they did not want to influence the political situation in the country, said today Chief Special Prosecutor Katica Janeva.
“We decided that we should take a different approach in that case because we do not want to influence the political situation, and because we can submit this request to the Basic Court Skopje 1 at any time. At this moment, we think that we are making good progress in this particular investigation, and in the next three or four months, there will certainly be an epilogue, too”, said Janeva.
After the motion of the SPO, the Supreme Court decided to reject the initial request for freezing VMRO-DPMNE’s property and assets.
The investigation in the”Thaler” case is about the illegal funding of the party.
