Janakieski claims he wasn’t planning to run away while SPO claims the detention was lawful

-

I wasn’t planning to run away nor i will be running away, said the former Minister Mile Janakieski at the Appellate court in Skopje where a public session occurred about the detention that was determined by the court on part of SPO.

He stressed that he has been reporting at the court in the last year and four months and that there is no evidence that he has violated these legal measures, and he disputed the UBK official note on basis of which the decision for detention is based upon. He called it fiction.

Regarding the meeting with President Ivanov, he said that the meeting occurred on the 13th of November at 16h, where two persons were present, one of which was a cabinet representative via who the meeting was organized. Janakieski said that they didn’t speak about the amnesty, but, as he said, he has informed Ivanov about the initiative that is related to the current political situation in the country.

Janakieski also denied that he has banking accounts abroad. He said that he has sent the SPO and the criminal Council a written notice with which he has informed that if they submit any evidence that he owns at least one account abroad and if this evidence is confirmed by relevant institutions then he is ready to make a deal regarding all of the cases that are led by SPO, even though if it means life in prison.
