President Gjorge Ivanov, today congratulated Donald Trump after he was sworn in as the President of the United States. Ivanov sent him a note expressing confidence in Trump’s leadership, especially for the United States, and he expressed hope in intensifying, deepening and strengthening the strategic partnership and friendship between Macedonia and the United States.
“Allow me, on this occasion, to express hope that with mutual engagement we will personally contribute in intensifying, deepening and strengthening the strategic partnership and friendship between Macedonia and the United States. I believe that with your leadership the United States will continue the path of progress. But I believe that your leadership is significant on a global level, especially now, when the world is facing numerous challenges, and now when more than ever, unity, mutual respect and sincere cooperation is necessary. We highly respect your views and foreign policy objectives. I assure you that the Republic of Macedonia and I are sincere friends and supporters”, reads the greeting Ivanov sent to the new US president.
