Ivanov met with the ambassadors of the US, EU, OSCE and a NATO official

President Ivanov today met Jess Bailey, Ambassador of the United States, Aivo Orav, Head of the Delegation of the European Union, Marian Bertzi, representative of the OSCE Mission, and Captain Rumen Radev, head of the Liaison Office of NATO.

At the meeting were exchanged views and information about the current political situation in the country, as well as the conditions and expectations regarding the membership of the Republic of Macedonia to the EU and NATO.

President Ivanov stressed that Macedonia highly appreciates the partnership and friendship which have continually developed with the US, EU, NATO and OSCE. Macedonian President thanked the interlocutors for their commitment for overcoming the challenges associated with the current political situation in the country, as well as for the support that Republic of Macedonia receives in relation to the implementation of foreign policy strategic priorities.

Ivanov emphasized that not only the Euro-Atlantic integration of the Republic of Macedonia presents the highest strategic goal of the country, but that it also has a tremendous cohesive and transforming power in the Macedonian society. Dialogue is the only way through which any challenges are outweighed and all social factors have a responsibility to the interests of citizens and the state, noted Ivanov.
