-

Soon, the first group of ambassadors will be appointed and will be sent to various diplomatic outposts in the world, said today the Head of the Macedonian diplomacy, Nikola Dimitrov, when he replied to a question about the negotiations with the President Gjorge Ivanov about the new Macedonian ambassadors.

-We had several meetings with President Ivanov and his team. I would say that we are in the final phase for sending the first group of ambassadors, said Dimitrov, without being precise whether among the approved candidates are the ambassadors that will be sent to Brussels, Paris and Great Britain.

Dimitrov has stressed that he came across to a difficult situation regarding the numbers and the relation in the balance between career diplomats and the politically appointed diplomats.

-The correlation is 60 against 40 in favor of the political diplomats – said Dimitrov.

He stressed that a goodwill and the consensus to better the balance is being built because a professionalization of MFA’s personnel policy is needed.
