Ilija Dimovski attacks “Meta” news agency from the parliamentary rostrum

-

At the second continuation of the constitutive session of Parliament, MPs Stefan Bogoev from SDSM and Ilija Dimovski from VMRO-DPMNE began a discussion about an analysis published by “Meta” news agency.

Bogoev, from the parliamentary rostrum said that for his speech, he would refer to the analysis conducted by “Meta” regarding the change of narrative and wording by VMRO-DPMNE while discussing the platform of the Albanian parties, which changed dramatically when negotiations with DUI collapsed after they failed to form a government.

“In the period between January 9th- 29th, when Nikola Gruevski had the mandate, VMRO-DPMNE did not mention the Tirana platform, they called the platform “it”. On January the 30th, when Gruevski lost the mandate, the platform of Albanian parties immediately became the Tirana platform, Edi Rama’s platform or All-Albanian platform”, said Bogoev.

To this replied Ilija Dimovski from VMRO-DPMNE, who instead of addressing the narrative of his party concerning the platform, he attacked “Meta” news agency, calling them “Sorosoids”.

“Regarding “Meta” news agency, I would like to clarify that their name is an abbreviation from the word Metamorphosis, “Meta” is owned by “Metamorphosis”, and “Metamorphosis” is owned by Soros. The new term which was coined in the United States, imposed by the new administration, “fake news”applies here”, said Dimovski.

Namely, the new US President, Donald Trump openly criticized leading television stations in the US such as, CNN, ABC, NBC, even Britain’s BBC of committing “fake news”. He also accused prominent newspapers like the New York Times and the Washington Post.
