The minister without portfolio that is responsible for the implementation of the Strategy for improvement of the condition of the Roma people in Republic of Macedonia, Samka Ibraimovski, thinks that with the amendments to the Law on the Use of Languages, none of the ethnic communities were damaged.
-I think everything is fine with it. None of the communities were damaged and what is very important is that there aren’t any changes in the Constitution of R. of Macedonia – said Ibraimovski at a press conference regarding the announced Calls for scholarships for Roma students.
He thinks that the proposed decision is a result of the Framework Agreement that, according to him, no one has had the courage to implement it.
Ibraimovski informed that yesterday the Call for Scholarship grants was open for five categories of Roma students that were enlisted in the first, second, third and fourth year in public and private secondary schools for the academic 2017/2018.
It’s about 752 scholarships that are granted by the Ministry of Education and Science supported by the Roma Educational Fund from Budapest for the academic 2017/2018.
