Amnesty and pardons were the topic of discussion at the leaders’ meeting

-

The leaders’ meetings and negotiations that are taking place in the Club of MP’s in Przhino, tackled certain topics such as amnesty and pardons in the eyes of the law.

Yesterday, opposition leader Zoran Zaev, said that this was discussed until July the 15th.

“The topic of amnesty and legal pardons were on the agenda in these negotiations until July the 15th. Somewhere between March and April, it was completely taken out of the agenda. If amnesty or a pardon for someone come to pass, then we shall be letting Macedonia go down the drain. It does not benefit anyone. If someone breaks the law, whether you are called Gruevski or called Zaev or Mijalkov, everyone should be accountable before the law. At the same time, you all know that the evidence we submitted to the Prosecution, is a new indication of new criminal proceedings. Here is Zaev with phone calls, and there’s Gruevski. Anyone who has broken the law, and the Special Prosecutor’s Office confirms that there are clues to open an investigation and provide evidence, they should be prosecuted, starting with Zaev and then Gruevski and so on…”  said Zaev.
