Hundreds of citizens came out to protest “How many shoes remain unworn”

-

Several hundreds of people gathered  today in front of the Government in a protest called “How many shoes remain unworn,” organized by the Civil initiative “We deserve better.”

“Despite the rainy weather today, several hundreds of people gathered in front of the Government, and brought thousands of pairs of shoes , to express our outrage over this modern exodus, the mass emigration from Macedonia”, said Ines Efremova from “We deserve better.”

From the Civil initiative, they say the problem concerning mass emigration is due to bad government policies that have contributed to the deterioration of the economic situation, as well as overall social conditions.

The citizens lay shoes from their expatriate closest friends and relatives, and asked the government to take measures to improve the economic and social situation in the country and to stop the mass emigration from Macedonia.
