A parent of a child attending primary school “Johan Heinrich Pestaloci” in Skopje got in touch with school authorities because of the graffiti he saw with hate speech on one of the entrances into the playground, near the sports hall.

After the the parent intervened explaining that it is wrong for children to see daily messages of hate speech on their school wall, the school reacted, and a few days after the graffiti was gone.

“It hit hard, and it was really difficult to see that the school playground is contaminated with the attempt to spread hate speech. Especially because it is right here where children come to learn to read – it is one of the first things that they will see when they come to school everyday, the call for them to kill their friends”, said the parent.
