The eighth continuation of the parliamentary debate regarding the dismissal of Attorney General, Marko Zvrlevski, has begun and has been developing with the same pattern of remarks and counter-remarks between the MPs of the opposition VMRO-DPMNE and on procedural remarks.
Today, at the beginning of the continuation of the session, VMRO-DPMNE’s MP, Ilija Dimovski asked the Parliament Speaker to suspend the debate due to Article 8-a of the Electoral Code, which, he said, instructs Parliament due to the announced local elections to put the debate on hold, and also, because almost half of the MPs were not present in the Parliament Hall.
The debate got worse after the independent MP from the ruling coalition, Pavle Bogoevski, said on the rostrum that what VMRO-DPMNE’s MPs do in the Parliament is nothing to do with democracy, but they just try to save the skin of some party members that “should go to prison”.
VMRO-DPMNE’s MPs reacted strongly, and Daniela Rangelova asked Bogoevski to apologize to all MPs for threatening them with prison.
