Prime Minister Zoran Zaev has met today with the EU Commissioner Johannes Hahn at the World Economic Forum in Davos, whom he has informed about the meeting with the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras about the results from the meeting and the possibilities of a new, qualitative changes in the bilateral relations, informs the government’s press service.
“The Commissioner Hahn passed on his opinion directly to Zaev about the meeting with Tsipras which he wrote about on social networks after the meeting and stressed that the meeting is very good news that shows courage, vision, and statesmanship. He also stated that the solution of the long-standing dispute will be good for both countries, the region and Europe” said the government’s press release.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Zaev has stressed that the meeting itself is very significant as it encouraged the implementation of the started reforms in Macedonia and it confirms the will of the Government to close long-term open issues with the neighboring countries, to instigate regional dynamics and to be a reliable partner to its international friends parallel to everyday accomplishments and on the domestic scene.
