It is good that with joint efforts, the citizens who protested everyday for 70-80 days, VMRO-DPMNE, our parliamentary party and the President managed to come to a situation where Zoran Zaev was forced in to a corner to sign such a document. No one who has requested the mandate from the President, has needed to sign such a document, said the leader of the opposition party, VMRO-DPMNE, Nikola Gruevski, commenting on Zoran Zaev receiving the mandate to form a government.
Gruevski said that VMRO-DPMNE will keep their eyes open and “if Zaev moves off the path”, meaning the guarantees he signed, they will “react fiercely.”
“We need to keep our eyes open and if he moves off the path, in an another direction, different to the assurances and promises made yesterday, VMRO-DPMNE will react fiercely, consistent with democratic means and I believe that others will do the same”, said Gruevski.
The leader of VMRO-DPMNE stressed that the party has a plan and have prepared further steps.
“VMRO-DPMNE will remain awake. We have a plan, we know what we are doing, we have prepared steps aimed at preserving the unitary and monitoring of the project in general. We will continue with vigorous steps, and we will continue with the dynamics of our plans which we will eventually release to the public”, added Gruevski.
