Elections are the only way out of the political crisis, and the VMRO-DPMNE are ready for them, however, for elections to happen, the opposition has to undertake all the conditions for their conduct, and participate in them. This was said by the leader of the ruling party, Nikola Gruevski at today’s meeting with the Assistant Secretary of State of the US State Department, Victoria Nuland.
The statement issued by the party from the meeting states that Gruevski and Nuland agreed that to overcome the current crisis, commitment and contribution is necessary “of all political factors in achieving solutions that will bring confidence to the process”.
“The President of the VMRO-DPMNE, Nikola Gruevski stressed that elections are the only way out of the political crisis which was imposed by the opposition, and the VMRO-DPMNE are prepared for them, however, he stated for elections to happen, it is necessary for the opposition to fulfill all conditions, and not to obstruct or delay the process, or to find a new excuses for elections not happen”, said the statement from the ruling party.
Also at the meeting, it was emphasized that the VMRO-DPMNE’s ultimate interest is the progress in the integration process, NATO, and conducting intensive reform agenda related to the EU.
“President Gruevski thanked for the United States for their support, and for their continued intensive communication”, the statement added.
