Political parties are satisfied with the conclusions adopted by the EU Council today.
SDSM said they were ready to honor them if an agreement on a transitional government of which Nikola Gruevski won’t be part is agreed.
Prime Minister Gruevski, who welcomed the conclusions on his Facebook profile, says he will continue to raise standards in all areas.
DUI are satisfied with the conclusions because in large part they were very similar to the conclusions adopted by DUI at the last session of the presidency.
Nikola Gruevski:
- I welcome the conclusions of the EU, we will continue reform process and the agreement of 2nd of June with dedication. We continue to raise standards in all areas, above all, for a better quality of life for the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia and progress towards the EU. Macedonia will emerge stronger from this crisis, and our nation is wise and knows to appreciate and evaluate who work for it and with whom it has a better future. After progress towards the EU, the government will come up with a concrete plan of measures and activities aimed at the reform process.
Petre Shilegov, SDSM:
- One man is the cause and solution to the political crisis in Macedonia. SDSM is ready to comply with the agreement of 2nd of June if an agreement on a transitional government which won’t include Nikola Gruevski and the current leadership of the VMRO-DPMNE is reached.
DUI:
- We are pleased that, in large part, the findings are very similar to the conclusions of the last session of the Presidency of DUI. Here are a few such: 1. Honoring the agreement of 2nd of June; 2. Urgent reforms, Ohrid Framework Agreement and good neighborly relations; 3. The interests of citizens above party interests.
