Ohrid deserves more and we are doing everything we can to help in many areas where it is possible, said Prime Minister and leader of VMRO-DPMNE Nikola Gruevski from the hall “Biljanini izvori” in Ohrid.
Addressing the audience at the gathering, Gruevski said that the opposition “stuck Ohrid debts of over 35 million euros” and that they are trying to reduce it for two years. Local self-government, said Gruevski, managed to reduce debt to three million euros, and paid over eight million euros of interest. He said that the citizens of Ohrid have not forgotten the crimes of the previous local self-government, and that’s why VMRO-DPMNE won by such a difference in two elections in a row.
VMRO-DPMNE leader announced that tech-industrial development zone Struga – Ohrid this summer will become operational and that the first company to invest, German “ODV Electric”, will create 1,000 new jobs. Gruevski said that the company, along with “Kostal” from Germany, will open 2,000 jobs in the region.
Gruevski also announced that the project for construction of the highway section Kichevo – Ohrid, which should be ready by January 2018, will be complemented with the construction of the highway from Gostivar to Kichevo. He noted that the express road Ohrid – Peshtani will be built according to all ecological standards.
By the end of the year, according to Gruevski, construction of an indoor pool in Ohrid, with an area of 15 thousand square meters, will begin. The facility worth five million euros will have office space, as well as stands and more than 500 seats.
The Prime Minister also announced the reconstruction and equipping of Ohrid schools and the Special Hospital for Orthopedics and Traumatology “St. Erasmus” in Ohrid.
In his presentation, Gruevski also reviewed the last written address of former President of the Republic of Macedonian and former leader of SDSM Branko Crvenkovski, saying that he messed up opposition’s plans.
The leader of VMRO-DPMNE said that the event in Goshince is very serious and requires careful treatment. He stressed that he is “sick of anti-state rhetoric” of the opposition, which claims that the government is behind the whole event.
Gruevski commented the case with the funeral wreath sent at the home of journalist Borjan Jovanovski. According to him, the whole story is “transparent and monstrous” because they themselves created it in coordination with Soros and the opposition.
