Gruevski complains to ambassadors that the Government is abusing state institutions

Today, the leader of VMRO-DPMNE, Nikola Gruevski, met with the ambassadors of the United States, member states from the European Union and NATO in the country, where he pointed out that that during the campaign there were numerous violations of the election process against the party, physical incidents, damage to headquarters, as well as abuse of state resources for party purposes.

VMRO-DPMNE, pointed out in their statement that it is inevitable that those “in power must stop the abuse of state institutions in order to maintain democracy”.

“VMRO-DPMNE is convinced that the upcoming local elections must be in line with the highest standards in order for the Republic of Macedonia to continue its way on the road to the EU and NATO”, reads the VMRO-DPMNE press release regarding the meeting.

This is Gruevski’s second meeting with the ambassadors ahead of the local elections.
