The former Macedonian Prime Minister and now fugitive from justice and asylum seeker in Hungary, Nikola Gruevski, today appeared in court in Budapest, which is deciding upon the extradition requested issued by Macedonian authorities, report the Hungarian media.
As can be seen from the video, he arrived accompanied by several unknown people wearing a baseball hat, sunglasses and a coat that he is carrying over his hands.
According to the Hungarian media, Gruevski didn’t allow anyone to take photographs and during the hearing he didn’t remove his glasses and hat.
He didn’t even want to answer questions from journalists.
The defense has asked that the media be denied access to the hearing due to sensitive information and the prosecutor has agreed to this request.
The court has decided the hearing be in secret, but the extradition decision will be made public.
Last year, Hungary approved his asylum status after his getaway through Albania, Montenegro, and Serbia.
