As a reward for the extensive savings measures, Greece will request additional write-off of the debt. According to Prime Minister Antonis Samaras, his country successfully conducted “the largest restructuring of public debt in its history.”
He said that the major challenge is to prove that Greece’s debt is sustainable, given that “country with unsustainable debt cannot get loans on the market.”
Also, he warned that denial to the request for an additional write-off of the debt is a risky tactic that could dispute the results achieved so far.
