The Government of North Macedonia decided to allocate financial assets for the Municipality of Resen in the amount of MKD 80 million, that will be used for the cleaning of the shores of Lake Prespa, i.e. the space from which the lake water has withdrawn, especially in the areas where some of the beaches are located, said Prime Minister Zoran Zaev during yesterday’s visit to the Prespa Region. He was accompanied by the Mayor of Resen, Zhivko Gosharevski.
The Prime Minister of North Macedonia said that the cleansing of these areas from mud and the leftovers of driftwood and other material will be conducted with special boats equipped for this purpose and will not harm the biodiversity. That will allow the waters to go subterraneously to Lake Ohrid and a safe and stable water regime especially, during the summer.
