“Extremely unusual situation, which also looks frivolous. If this country was not concerned it, it would be downright funny,” stated for META university professor Vladimir Pivovarov regarding today’s incident at sentry Goshince, which the Ministry of Interior (MOI) qualified as a “terrorist attack on public institutions.”
– A lot of methods of action are familiar throughout the world. But not this, which said “they came to bring a message and they recommended us to convey it.” Usually part of the hostages are kept, and one or two are let to deliver the message, but not all. It is a sentry to keep the state border, with appropriate equipment and armament. It is strange how the group took the sentry without encountering resistance. If it was so easy, anyone can take over these points. Extremely unusual – says Pivovarov.
The professor, who is originally from Kumanovo, says that his friends Albanians are also bewildered by the situation.
– We had a few situations so far and it is time for the institutions to dare and do the work we pay them for. They cost us too much – the professor added.
General Stojanche Angelov says for META that he stands behind the statement given two weeks ago at one of the protests in front of the MRTV building, on which he warned of a possible incident in the Lipkovo region.
– Probably UCK will take responsibility for this, as it was the case after the attack of the Government. But the fact that UCK commander is alive and well and in great love with Nikola Gruevski excludes any possibility UCK to do anything without the knowledge of Ali Ahmeti. This means that there are two possibilities in this case: that this is agreed between Nikola Gruevski and Ali Ahmeti, or it is a criminal gang which abused the name of UCK due to financial motives. I believe it is the latter – stated General Angelov for META.
In a statement for “Radio Free Europe”, former NLA member form Lipkovo region Zimberi Abedin said the incident on which the media are reporting is a scenario of the Government, Gruevski and the Ministry of Interior.
– He is probably planning a scenario in order to defocus the attention of citizens and to save himself from what is going on. I say that this will fail because people do not want war, they want peace, perspective, they want to work and live – stated Zimberi for “Radio Free Europe”.
