Vlatko Gjorcev, MP from VMRO-DPMNE met with the Director of the US Department of State for South Central European Affairs, Matthew Palmer, accompanied by Joshua Lewis and Elaine Hensle from the Office for Macedonia at the State Department in Washington.
“MP Gjorchev informed the State Department interlocutor about the latest developments related to the numerous detainment’s, arrests and raids on the homes of MPs from the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia, famous actors, musicians, administrative workers and other current officials in Macedonia,” says a statement by VMRO-DPMNE.
Gjorchev, according to the statement, also referred to “the numerous irregularities during the recent local election, as well as several cases of electoral violence that were not sanctioned by the current government.”
