“Facebook”: Macedonian authorities have requested data for eight users

Macedonian authorities in the last six months of last year filed five requests for data for eight users and profiles on the social network “Facebook,” reads the the last report of the company.

According to the largest social network, relating to the requirements of the world’s governments for information about its users, there is a slight reduction in the requests of the Macedonian authorities, who, in the first six months of 2014, have submitted 10 applications for 12 users or profiles associated with crimes.

“Facebook” announced that the biggest increase in requests regarding data users associated with crime or publication of prohibited content is observed in India and Turkey, while the United States has dropped from 15,443 to 14,274.
