The Technological Industrial Development Zones (TIDZs) in North Macedonia in the first quarter of this year registered the highest economic activity for this time period compared to the previous three years, both in the export and import fields, shows the regular monthly analysis of the TIDZs.
In the first three months of 2021, the export from TIDZs has reached €776 million, which is 30% more compared to the same period in the last year and compared to 2018, the rise is above 41%, informed TIDZs. On monthly level, the export in March was €260 million, which is €67 million more than in the same month of the last year. The companies that are working in the zones participate with over 48% in the total exports from North Macedonia.
In the first quarter of this year, the imports was €736 million and is 34% higher than the first quarter of the last year. The companies in the zones in March participated with 36% in the total imports to North Macedonia.
