EVN Macedonia installs the first photovoltaic plant with bi-facial panels

EVN Macedonia installed the first photovoltaic plant in Negotino that simultaneously generates electricity from the sun and from the reflection of the light. It is part of modern world technologies and is made of b-ifacial panels that can generate electricity from the sun shining directly on them and also from the sunlight reflected on the opposite side or underneath the panel. The plant was built in less than 4 months, announced EVN Macedonia.

“The photovoltaic plant is the result of the cooperation between the state and the private sector. We are proud that our company is investing in projects that are intended for the protection of the living environment and the lowering the pollution,” said Stefan Peter, the chairman of EVN Macedonia.

According to the Minister for Economy, Kreshnik Bekteshi, the support for the activities for the promotion of renewable sources of energy and instigating energy efficiency will continue in the future.

This project was accomplished as part of the strategy for the production of Green Energy on part of the Government, Prime Minister Zoran Zaev has stressed the Government’s strategies for continuous development of the energy sector especially the part of the renewable sources for producing electricity.
