“FactCheck EU” is the name of the new fact-checking network launched today by 19 media outlets of the International Fact Checking Network (IFCH), a project of the Poynter Institute in Florida, USA.
The Consortium “FactCheck EU” is composed of media outlets from 13 countries in Europe and will have the primary task of checking statements/claims and stories that will be published, related to the European Parliament elections in May this year .
The international network reported that the European network was created by like-minded people, and the special credit was given by the French media company Liberassion and journalist Pauline Moullot, who received a $ 50,000 prize last year for creating a digital platform for fact checking, “Check the News”.
