In accordance with international laws, Macedonia has the right to control who enters its territory and to forbid entry to those who don’t fulfill the criteria. This was the remark of the EU Commissioner for enlargement Johanes Hahn at a press conference today.
-The Commission is aware of the decision of the Government to declare emergency situation in the border areas to the south and north. The Commission is ready to supply humanitarian help to Macedonia, says in the announcement of the press conference held by Hahn, as reported by the news agency Tanjug.
The announcement says that the EU has secured 90,656 euro in humanitarian help to Macedonia and that the program for supporting Western Balkan countries and Turkey is in its final phase. As part of the efforts to deal with the large flow of migrants, the program will distribute eight million euro starting September.
