Easter curfew starts on Friday afternoon and ends on Monday morning

During the forthcoming Easter holidays, the Government decided to extend the length of the curfew so instead of the weekend, the curfew will also be imposed on Monday, a day after Easter. That means, all citizens will be banned any movement starting from Friday (17th of April) at 16 h until Tuesday (21st of April) until 5 am, nationwide.

“The restrictions on all movements for all citizens, each working day, from Monday until Friday, from 4 pm until 5 am, the next day, will remain. Additionally, from Thursday 16th of April, starting at 4 pm and until 21st of April, at 5 am, all movements to all vacation spots, parks and forests nationwide has been banned” announced the government.

For people, at the age above 67, the ban during all work days, from MOnday until Friday except for the period between 10 and 12 o’clock, and on Monday, the 20th of April, there will be a complete ban for these citizens. For all citizens aged 18 the ban will remain in the period between 1 pm until 3 pm and on Monday 20th of April, there will be a complete ban for this age group.

“Drugstores will be working and the Health Ministry will prepare a plan for unobtrusive working for health institutions. The police, the army, the health workers will be exempt from the restrictions including all markets and restaurants that are delivering food and products” informs the government’s press release.
