DOM requires amendments to the Electoral Code, to be 50 percent women in politics

Forum of Women of DOM congratulated 8th of March, International Women’s Day, to all women in the Republic of Macedonia. In a statement of the party it is read that they support the platform “Planet 50-50” by 2030, set by the United Nations.

– We propose to provide equal representation of women and men in politics in the Republic of Macedonia, as the basis for economic and social equality, through changes in the Electoral Code. DOM already practiced this principle in the 2013 local elections, by proposing 50 per cent women on the lists for the advisors – reads the statement of the party.
