Representatives of the European Union, OSCE, NATO and the United States appealed to the Macedonian President Gjorgje Ivanov to get seriously involved in resolving the political crisis in the country and not to be a spectator to the events, reports Bulgarian portal “Novinite“.

According to diplomats, as noted by the portal, Ivanov could be the patron of political dialogue and ask “international mediation to broker a ceasefire between the two major political parties.”

“The first proposal of foreign diplomats is Ivanov to seek diplomatic mediation by the EU. The second proposal is Ivanov himself to be patron of the political dialogue between VMRO-DPMNE and SDSM and other political parties for exiting the crisis,” reports “Novinite”.
