Parliament have adopted a series of important laws and decisions which will affect citizens directly, and be in their interest, while MPs from SDSM did not show for work whilst boycotting, said Ilija Dimovski today, Coordinator of the Parliamentary Group of VMRO-DPMNE, before the arrival of the opposition MPs at Assembly.
“The Republic of Macedonia is a parliamentary democracy in which citizens elect their representatives, whose obligation is to represent and make decisions on their behalf. Parliament is a public body which carry laws, which carry the state budget, which carry the biggest decisions. MPs have an obligation, which they wanted and nominated themselves to be present here in Parliament, to discuss, to ask, and to decide. Any other approach, with each boycott, blackmail, destructive behavior, all this can only block and harm the state and therefore its citizens. There is no justification for not working, indifference and negligence. However, each party and each MP decide for themselves and should be prepared to be responsible. And in just eight short months, the citizens will decide for themselves – said Dimovski.
