Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs, Bujar Osmani had the first official meeting with the newly appointed Ambassador of Portugal in Macedonia, Maria Virgínia Mendes da Silva Pina.
The central subject of the meeting were the challenges related to the European integrations, and with the EU Summit in March, towards the potential start of the EU accession negotiations before the summit in May about the Western Balkans.
“We are ready to start the negotiations, and I’m hoping that the European Union will create the necessary conditions to extend the process of enlargement with the Western Balkans countries” said Osmani, stressing the positive signals that arrive from the European Commission and the member countries regarding the new enlargement methodology.
