Deputy PM Osmani: All political decisions about the elections will be made on basis of epidemiologists’ decisions

-

The Secretariat for European Affairs will help the Institute for Public Health to increase its capacities for testing and improving the working conditions, informed the Secretariat.

The goal is to relax the restrictive measures as soona s possible.

“The need to increase the testing capacities will be extremely important now when the Government is already debating about a package with measures i.e. to replace all restrictive measures with relaxed measures as such circumstances it will need a capacity for testing, detection and isolation of all cases, in order to prevent the disease to spread again. We think now its a time to carefully replace all strict measures with relaxed ones” sad the Deputy PM for European Affairs Bujar Osmani.

Osmani had discussions with epidemiologists and virologists about the elections and the electoral process, how they perceive this process.

“Their stance is that whenever the elections happen a physical distance should be held, protective equipment to be worn and on basis of these criteria, the politicians will have to make decisions whether and when it will be possible for the elections to be organized taking into account that these criteria will have to be determined by the Committee for Infectuous Diseases. Our opinion is that the Committee will have to state whether the electoral process is endangering or potentially can endanger the individual and collective health of the citizens and that the political decisions have to based only on the decisions made by epidemiologists” said Osmani.
