Dejan Georgievski and his coach will get MKD 2.4 million reward for the Olympic medal

The government of North Macedonia in its 92nd session reached a decision to give a money reward of MKD 1.2 million to Dejan Georgievski, who won the silver medal in taekwondo at the Olympic games in Tokyo, and a reward of MKD 600,000 to his coach Darko Kostovski, government press-office informs.

The winner of the silver medal in taekwondo at the Summer Olympic games Tokyo 2020 will be rewarded with additional MKD 600,000 by the Agency for Youth and Sport.

Dejan Georgievski yesterday won the silver medal in taekwondo in the category up to 80 kg, which is the first Olympic medal for Macedonia in the past 21 years.

In the finals he lost with 15:9 by the Russian Vladislav Larin. Georgievski previously defeated the current world champion Rafael Yunier Alba Castillo from Cuba and the Cote D’ivoireI ‘s representative, Seydou Gbane, as well as the In Kyo Don from South Korea.
