Deadline for lindane removal is extended until the 16th of December

On request of the offerers, the international tender that was announced on the 15th of October for а selection of technology for the removal of the lindane waste and its isomers from the yard of the OHIS factory in Skopje, that should have ended on the 11th this month, has been extended until the 16th of December, this year.

“On request of potential offerors, the UN’s organization for industrial development. (UNIDO) has extended the deadline for sending offers until the 16th of December as during the firstly set period of 25 days they were not able to respond to the requests of the designated task ” informed the Office of Persistent Organic Polluters at the Ministry of Environment and Planning.

The press release also states that as soon as the offers arrive, a Committee will be formed on part of UNIDO, consisting of international and national experts which will select the best offer. What will follow are activities for starting with work on location by providing the necessary documentation and setting protective measures for the protection of the environment and finally they will start with the cleaning.
