Dačić: If you’re offended by FYROM, why take a seat at the UN, EU, OSCE and the Council of Europe?

-

For Serbia, the use of the name “Republic of Kosovo” is offensive, said Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić, after the Macedonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs requested that the reference FYROM not be used, because it is offensive.

“We require a mutual correct relationship. If they already protesting about the pay toll receipts, what should we be doing after their recognition of Kosovo and their vote at UNESCO”, Dačić told “Vecernje Novosti”.

Dačić also asked why Macedonia has not left the United Nations, Council of Europe, OSCE and EU meetings, where they appear under the reference, FYROM.

“Why sit under that name, now they have a problem with the receipt which has the same name written on it? Serbia has not changed its position on the recognition of Macedonia, however, for Serbia it is offensive and disrespectful when they say “Republic of Kosovo”, said Dačić.
