Czech President Miloš Zeman will be visiting Skopje, and will be a guest to his colleague, President Gjorgi Ivanov.
According to recent announcements, one of the topics that will be discussed between the two Presidents is the migrant crisis. As everyone knows, Macedonia is part of the main Balkan route for migrants from Africa and Asia on their way to EU countries. The Czech Republic, during the height of the refugee crisis, sent Macedonia dozens of police officers to help on the Macedonia-Greek border.
“After the meeting, Zeman is expected to receive a Macedonian state decoration and Ivanov, in turn, will not be awarded with an official decoration”, said the Jiří Ovčáček spokesperson to the head of the Czech State reported Czech news agency CTK.
Miloš Zeman during his visit to Macedonia will attend the Czech-Macedonian Business seminar and visit the Monastery ‘Sveti Naum’ in Ohrid.
