At the meeting with the Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, which occurred during the European People’s Party’s Congress in Zagreb (EPP), VMRO-DPMNE’s party leader Hristijan Mickoski, as he was answering Borisov’s question about his stance about the Euro-Atlantic integrations, he gave the following statement that “Vistinomer.mk” deems a spin:
Let there be no dilemas. I am a former scholarship student of the Italian government, I did my master and PhD in Germany, as a scholarship student of the German Government. Timcho is also educated in the US, Vlatko is married to an American woman and he is an American groom. Aleksandar is not, but he has worked for a long time in Strasbourg, the Council of Europe, and therefore there should be no dilemmas about this issue,

Контраспин: The President of VMRO-DPMNE Hristijan Mickoski is spinning the truth when he says that for him and his party the European Union membership is a strategic determination, and as a first argument for such orientation, by his own words, is that he was a scholarship student of both the Italian and the German governments, the international party Secretary Timcho Mucunski was educated in the United States whereas Aleksandar Nikolovski has worked in Strasbourg and Vlatko Gjorchev was married to an American! This statement can be heard from the video that the Bulgarian Prime Minister and President of the GERB party, Boyko Borisov has released on his Facebook profile.
What common ground do these things have? The Western education cannot be a proof that a certain political structure has a pro-European orientation and that it is sincere in its efforts that it will take the country into the EU and NATO. Their comparison which would be stressed as a guarantee that the VMRO-DPMNE’s leadership is in favor of the EU actually looks very funny. For instance , the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban was George Soros’ scholarship student which indicates that this is no proof that further in our lifetimes these values can be divided by this philosophy.
Actually, Orban ousted Soros’ Foundation from Hungary.
Yet, the most funny out of all Mickoski’s evidence is that some of VMRO-DPMNE’s officials has an American wife! What this has got to do with the EU membership remains unclear.
