The coronavirus epidemic in Macedonia slowed down the first phase of the building of the Skopje-Blace highway. At the moment, the Public Enterprise for State Roads is preparing the expropriation of the land where the future highway will be build upon while preparations are being made for the building of the bedroad in the length of 2km.

Out of 68 properties that the road will pass through during the first phase of the highway, at the moment, only three agreements have been reached for expropriation of land and eight decisions were made for expropriation. Due to the current situation with the coronavirus this activity has been unfolding slowly, said the Public enterprise for State Roads for

at the location where the road will pass, there are preparations underway. The works were supposed to start in March nit this prognosis was made before the coronavirus epidemic.

The first phase of the highway starts from the Blace border crossing until the crossroad near the village Blace. The projects value is 12.2 million euros and the deadlien for building of the highway is 18 months.
