Commission for the transfer of technical devices and documentation formed from MoI-UBK in OTA

At the Governments 97th session, they adopted a decision on the establishment of a Commission for the transfer of technical devices for monitoring communications and technical documentation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs – Security and Counterintelligence Directorate in the Operational-Technical Agency (OTA).

“The commission will be composed of representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the OTA, the Supreme Court, the Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Directorate for Security of Classified Information, as well as the Commission for Supervision over the implementation of the special investigative measure for the interception of communications, and has the task to determine the current state of the technical devices for interception of communications, as well as the technical documentation transmitted by the Ministry of Internal Affairs – Security and Counterintelligence Directorate in the Operational-Technical Agency. It will perform an inventory and all active measures to monitor communications, and to make minutes on the completed task. The establishment of this Commission is to provide guarantees for the proper implementation of legal solutions that result in the obligations of the Government. It will enable all conditions for the start of the work of the Operational-Technical Agency, until the date of application of the law, ie November 1st, this year, “reads the government statement.
